It’s Not Too Late for Fall Maintenance

Here are six fall maintenance items to get done before winter begins.

It’s not too late to complete those fall maintenance checklist items. Here are my top six suggestions:

Clean out your gutters. With the temperatures getting chillier, any debris or water left in your gutters will freeze and could cause clogs or damage.

Bring in outdoor furniture and plants. Just like us, plants like to be warm.

Shut off exterior faucets. Also, if you have an underground sprinkler system, ensure to winterize it properly. Doing these two things will help keep pipes from bursting.

Remove air conditioning window units. This ensures cool air stays outside and warm air stays inside, keeping you nice and toasty.

Clean and service the chimney. Make sure to get a full inspection on the chimney, whether it’s woodburning or gas. You want everyone to be safe while enjoying the fireplace.

Service the HVAC system. Call a local HVAC professional to clean and service your heating system. Ensure your heating system is fully functional and won’t break down sometime during the winter season.

“Make sure to call a local professional if you have questions to ensure you’re doing everything correctly.”

Don’t forget to decorate your home and get into the holiday spirit! There’s nothing wrong with eating turkey while hanging your favorite Santa figurine.

For these items and any other tasks on your maintenance checklist, make sure to call a local professional if you have questions to ensure you’re doing everything correctly. If you need recommendations for great professionals or have real estate questions, don’t hesitate to reach out via phone or email. I would love to help you.
